Around 1995 or so, when e-mailing was the coolest form of communicating, I had a little home on the now deceased community Geocities. That site was also dedicated to movies. Though back then I was mainly uploading my favourite samples from my ever growing movie collection. Now, roughly ten years later, I’m back again. This time I’m going to focus on Hollywood from a news perspective. Who’s doing what and when will it be ready.

Let’s get this out of the way: I consider James Cameron’s Aliens (1986) to be one of the best movies ever made. The best. Period. You’ll probably see some references to that film in some of my posts. I can’t help myself.

Despite my overwhelming respect for Cameron’s masterpiece, I actually prefer a good comedy. With age (I’m 30 + you know…) I have gradually shifted towards the comedy genre and I feel this is a perfect moment to pay tribute to the so called Frat Pack. The main reason I, and every one else on the planet, actually laugh at the movies nowadays. Ben Stiller, Will Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Luke Wilson and Owen Wilson.

The movies these guys have made the last years… I’m almost speechless. Old School, Elf, Wedding Crashers, Anchorman, Zoolander, Starsky & Hutch, Meet the Parents and more… I could probably throw in 5-10 more but I think we all agree on the fact that these guys completely dominate the comedy arena. And probably will for many years to come.

This page was supposed to be about this blog and it’s reason for existing but I can’t seem to stop talking (writing…) about movies and actors. But then again, that’s the reason for this blog…

1. Could you link to my page?
I could, and maybe I will. If it’s relevant. In other words – I won’t link to websites about motorcycles, dogs or fashion.

2. Why don’t you write about Asian or European movie news?
“The latest movie news and rumors from Hollywood”. I watch and write about Hollywood productions. It’s that simple.
