I did my best to stay awake, but since the awards is aired in the middle of the night here in Sweden, the need for sleep finally got too overwhelming.

So, without further ado- I present the winners of the annual Academy Awards. (As some of you will notice this isn’t all the categories. This is mainly because I’m lazy and the copy-paste process was too much to handle. I focused on the big categories. Hopefully you can find it in your heart to forgive me.)

Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen:

Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material Previously Published:
William Monahan (The Departed)

Best Achievement in Editing:
Thelma Schoonmaker (The Departed)

Best Achievement in Sound:
Michael Minkler, Bob Beemer, Willie D. Burton (Dreamgirls)

Best Achievement in Sound Editing:
Alan Robert Murray, Bub Asman (Letters from Iwo Jima)

Best Achievement in Visual Effects:
John Knoll, Hal T. Hickel, Charles Gibson, Allen Hall (Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest)
