Anchorman 2

Todays pick wasn’t that hard. I just read the title “Anchorman” and then I knew this was worth passing along to you, my dear readers. For those of you oblivious to the movie “Anchorman” (or, God forbid, Will Ferrell) it’s a silly, but very entertaining comedy about the newsman Ron Burgundy (played by Will Ferrell). A top rated news anchor in the male dominated broadcasting of the 1970′s. All that changes when a new female employee with ambition arrives in his office and threatens his position – and his manly hood…
Dark Horizons reports that “Anchorman” director Adam McKay has revealed that a sequel to the Will Ferrell comedy is in the works.
“We’re dying to do it. Unless we can’t get the cast together, which is always kind of a tricky thing. But, I think, with that cast we’re all friends, so yeah, we want to do it” says McKay.
What’s the time frame? “I’m looking to do another movie, I might do this other movie called ‘Channel 3 Billion’ which is kind of this ‘Brazil’ type comedy. Then after that, Will and I are like let’s do ‘Anchorman 2′…. so you’re talking like two years maybe we’ll do it. But we’re going to do it, for sure.”
Good news huh? I’m still waiting for the sequel to “Old School” (possibly the funniest movie ever made?) though. That would be one for the books.
