Battlestar Galactica – no film continuation?

Sci-fi enthusiasts, are you still waiting for a “Battlestar Galactica” movie continuation? With TV-series wrapping up next year, fans are hoping for a feature film continuation but it doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen…

Dark Horizons reports that the problem isn’t the lack of interest on the producers, cast or even studios part – rather the original creator, Glen Larson. He hasn’t exactly been happy with his 70′s ray-gun blasting space opera being remade into a 21st century gritty political military drama.

Battlestar Galactica is his baby and he holds the feature film rights – thus his co-operation would be required.

To sum it up – Hollywood and all the fans out there want the film. Glen, the man with the film rights doesn’t. So… don’t hold your breath kids.
