Crowe and Dicaprio re-team for Body of Lies

Got some interesting new from The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently Leonardo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe are going to team up once again in the spy thriller “Body of Lies“, directed by the almighty Ridley Scott. It’s been twelve years since the actors last worked together (in the “The Quick and the Dead“, 1995).

“Body of Lies” is an adaptation of Washington Post columnist David Ignatius’ novel. The story centers on an idealistic CIA agent (DiCaprio), newly stationed in Jordan, who develops an intricate scheme to sow seeds of suspicion among the terrorists he is hunting. However, the plan puts his life in turmoil and threatens his relationship with the head of Jordanian intelligence. Crowe will play DiCaprio’s boss.

It seems as if Ridley Scott really appreciates working with Russel Crowe judging by the fact that Russel been cast in 5 of Ridley’s latest 11 movies. Sweet deal. Or maybe not so sweet… This “conspiracy theory” just entered my mind. What if Russel is blackmailing Ridley, forcing him to cast Russel in his movies!? (Yeah right…)
