Don Johnson is a porn director

When I saw this piece of news over at The Hollywood Reporter I knew all of you would be interested. Trust me, that don’t make you weird or anything. When you read the words “porn” and Don Johnson, in the same sentence even… Who can resist that? I tell you – no one. Read on… The actor who once played Det. Sonny Crockett on the hugely successful TV show “Miami Vice” has now decided to bring us more comedy. He continues his comedy streak with a turn as a mustachioed porn director in “Born to Be a Star.”

Nick Swardson is starring as a small-town nerd who learns his quiet and demure parents were famous porn stars in the 1970s. This motivates him to leave northern Iowa for Hollywood, hoping to follow in their footsteps and fulfill his destiny as the biggest adult-film star in the world.

Don Johnson plays a down-on-his-luck director who discovers Swardson and gives him a shot.  The cast also includes the talented Christina Ricci as Swardson’s innocent girlfriend and Stephen Dorff as adult film star Dick Shadow.

Tom Brady is directing from a script co-written by Adam Sandler and Swardson. Sandler and Jack Giarraputo is producing.
