Ok, so today I’m going to take small but very strange and somewhat awkward step into unknown territory. Telefilm. Yes, that is correct. We are not talking about the big silver screen here. The first word that enters your mind, Im sure, is “why?”. Well, I couldn’t really help myself. It’s just so… weird.
NBC is apparently planning for a Knight Rider telefilm sequel and David Hasselhoff is in talks to reprise his role as Michael Knight in the sequel to the 80′s crime-driven show “Knight Rider”. The telefilm will center on Mike Tracer (played by Justin Bruening), Michael Knight’s son who never knew his dad.
In the beginning of the film, we will find that Mike is wasting away in Las Vegas when his one-time girlfriend Sarah Kamen (played by Deanna Russo) reappears and is willing to pay off Mike’s gambling debt in exchange for help.
Sarah Kamen is the brilliant estranged daughter of KITT inventor Charles Kamen. When she receives word from talking-car KITT that her father is missing, she and KITT set out to find and recruit Mike Tracer to get him behind the wheel of the high-tech car.
Earlier this week, Sydney Poitier, the daughter of screen legend Sidney Poitier, was also cast in the film-pilot. She will play an FBI agent and antagonist to the main character.
How about that folks? Hasselhoff is at it again. I don’t know if I’m supposed to laugh or cry…?
