Li, Lundgren, Stallone, Statham, Whitaker and Bullock?

I just had to give you this little update on Sylvester Stallone’s coming action film – “The Expendables” (due out in 2010). Some of you might remember my post from early november when I told you about the coming masterpiece (well, it sure sounds like the action film of all action films).
So far, Sly has lined up Jason Statham, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Forest Whitaker and Randy Couture for his tale of mercenaries on a mission to take down an evil dictator. And now JoBlo.com reports that Sly is also working on getting actress Sandra Bullock in the project. His ol’ partner from the movie “Demolition Man.”
This little piece of news is still to be categorized as a rumor. And while it’s not verified, Stallone is apparently indeed pursuing her for the project. Bullock would play a government agent (paired up with Whitaker) on the hunt for Stallone’s crew of hired guns.
On paper this sounds like action heaven. I just hope the movie lives up to the hype. But what a cast… amazing.
