More Bourne? Damon says no thanks!

Personally I love the Bourne franchise and it’s been a ride watching Matt Damon play Jason Bourne. But it seems we’ve come to an end. MovieWeb reports that Matt Damon has announced that the next Bourne movie, The Bourne Ultimatum, would be his last turn as the super-spy assassin, despite the franchise earning hundreds of millions of dollars around the world.
At a press conference promoting his next film, Ocean’s Thirteen, Damon said “The Bourne thing I’m definitely done with.” The Oscar-winner added, though, that Bourne character may well live on, played by another actor.
The third film in the franchise, The Bourne Ultimatum, part of the series of best-selling action novels by Robert Ludlum about a renegade and lethal former US secret agent, will be released on August 3rd.
Well, well, perhaps a fourth (and a fifth, if true to Eric Van Lustbaders novels) movie with another actor would work. But right now I’m having a hard time visualizing someone else as Jason Bourne…
