Friday people! Woohooo! To end the working week I’ve got two little snacks for you to nibble on:
Whitaker out, 50 Cent in
Dark Horizons reports that action legend Sylvester Stallone is trading down with rapper Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson replacing Oscar winner Forest Whitaker in the action team-up feature “The Expendables.” (See earlier posts Nov 6, 2008 & Dec 30, 2008). Due to delays which have put back the film’s shoot by a month, Whitaker has had to pull out due to conflicts with prior engagements. Stallone stars in and directs the film about a team of mercenaries on a mission to overthrow a South American dictator.
Bobby Cannavale join Weakness cast
The Hollywood Reporter tells us that there’s strength in numbers as Bobby Cannavale, June Diane Raphael and Danielle Panabaker have joined the cast of the indie film “Weakness.”
A drama about a suburban high school teacher that loses his wife and his moorings during a summer break.
The film is the debut of Michael Melamedoff, who wrote and directed. Principal photography is scheduled to begin in June in New York.
Cannavale, stars in the TV series “Cupid,” which will debut March 31 on ABC.
