Owen Wilson and Nick Nolte in Tropic Thunder

The already star packed movie “Tropic Thunder” will get even more packed. Im guessing it will get kind of crowded actually. Dark Horizons reports that Owen Wilson and Nick Nolte have now also joined the Ben Stiller-directed comedy.

The story follows a group of actors who go on location to shoot a war movie, only to find that reality replicates their plot.

At this time there is some really big names attached to the project – to name a few: Ben Stiller, Jack Black, Robert Downey Jr., and now Owen Wilson and Nick Nolte. Phat! The filming will begin this summer in Hawaii and Los Angeles.

Judging by the cast this will be a real humdinger of a movie. I just hope it will give everyone some space to do their stuff. Sometimes, in for example “Ocean’s Eleven” you get the feeling that the ensemble movie can be somewhat limiting to the actors/actresses acting potential. There’s just not enough time to shine.

This is of course not a problem when dealing with, for example Will Ferrell. His part in “Wedding Crashers“, (2005) as Chazz Reinhold is truly rememberable. Some actors can and some can’t…
