Paul RuddI saw the movie “Superbad” a couple of days ago. Pretty funny but not thanks to Jonah Hill or Michael Cera but as usual, the always brilliant Seth Rogen stole the show. Bill Hader wasn’t too bad either. If you haven’t seen the movie – no hurry. But if you see it, you can fast forward until you see two police officers. That’s when the fun begins.

Anyway, todays news is somewhat connected to “Superbad” since Judd Apatow wrote and directed “Knocked Up” and… well, just read this:

The Hollywood Reporter tells us that Paul Rudd is set to star in the comedy “I Love You, Man,” directed and written by John Hamburg. Jason Segel is in final negotiations to also star in the film, which centers on a man who seeks out a male friend to serve as the best man at his wedding. Rudd will play the soon-to-be betrothed, with Segel as his best man.

Rudd and Segel have a history of working together. Here’s comes the aforementioned connection… The two previously appeared in Judd Apatow’s “Knocked Up” and will both be seen in the upcoming “Forgetting Sarah Marshall,” which Segel also wrote.

John Hamburg is a talented man. He wrote and directed “Along Came Polly” (Ben Stiller, Jennifer Anniston and Philip Seymour Hoffman) which actually is quite funny. His writing credits ain’t to shabby. His work includes “Meet the Parents,” “Meet the Fockers” and “Zoolander.”
