I remember when I was just a toddler (well, I was young, ok?), I thought the TV-series “Mork & Mindy” was the funniest show on earth. I just loved Robin Williams. Is till think he has a remarkable sense comic timing. He is truly the king impersonations and one liners.
Over the years, I have seen Mr. Williams in many films and it has been a pleasure. Most of time anyway… Though, I believe that Robin’s best work in the last ten years is his more serious roles. “Good Will Hunting” (1997) and “One Hour Photo” (2002) really stand out for me. Well, let’s not forget one of his absolute best – “Mrs. Doubtfire” (1993)
Well, let’s get to the news shall we? Dark Horizons reports that Robin Williams has signed on to the upcoming black comedy “World’s Greatest Dad”. Williams will play a failed writer teaching poetry at a high school. When his teenage son dies during a freak masturbation accident, he tries to cover up the embarrassment by claiming the death was a suicide.
When the father’s faked suicide note gets attention, he decides to fake an entire journal to get his writing career off the ground.
Comedian Bobcat Goldthwait penned and will direct the project scheduled to begin filming next month in Seattle.
