Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie MacAnd to complete yesterdays Sam Jackson tribute I give you another piece of hot news: Variety.com reports that Dimension Films has set Malcolm Lee to direct “Soul Men,” a road trip comedy to star Samuel L. Jackson and Bernie Mac.
The pair will play bickering backup soul singers who haven’t spoken in 20 years but reluctantly travel cross country together for a tribute concert to honor their famous former band leader.

Jackson and Mac will do their own musical and dancing performances for the film, which will begin production on Jan. 21.

Bernie Mac and Samuel L. Jackson in the same movie. I have a good feeling… This could be great. I just hope the guys can get on the same level. They have two completely different methods of acting. Bernie is fast talking, hilarious and just oozes with humor. Sam is intense, serious and work a lot with his expressions and has this presence in his movies.

It will be really interesting to see them together.
