Would you care for some juicy, eyebrow-raising news? Well then, read on… The Los Angeles Times tells us that Russell Crowe practically forced Sienna Miller out of his latest acting project – “Nottingham.” Miller, who was to play Maid Marian, left the movie this week and shooting was moved from February to April.
An insider allegedly told the New York Post, “It is a mess. Russell never lost the weight he put on for ‘Body of Lies‘ — and so the love scenes between him and Sienna would have been laughable. He’s so old and fat and she’s so young and gorgeous. It’s just … gross.” Ladies and gentlemen, mind you – this is hearsay…
Apparently the producers are now “looking for an older, plumper actress to play the role so Russell doesn’t look like a paunchy grandpa. Someone in her late 30s or early 40s.” To top of the story Crowe also is said to have demanded serious script rewrites, turning the movie into a star vehicle for him instead of a love triangle among Maid Marian, Robin Hood and the Sheriff of Nottingham.
A studio rep acknowledged that Miller was “released” but denied “rumors” about Crowe also wanting a new director other than his pal, Ridley Scott.
To be honest this whole piece could be about 85% rumors and I urge you, my readers, take this with a grain of salt.
